@kitttt._: “This is the yoga class with @happyjackyoga that put my whole world into overdrive. Then – I was an aspiring yoga teacher with no idea how it was going to happen. Now – I AM a yoga teacher with a 200hr YTT completed with @happyjackyoga”
@kaybeemaybe: “The entire experience ! I was having a rocky relationship with my mat, but the myf brought me right back falling in love with yoga.”
@frominsidethetoadsbelly: “Laying in the sun on the grass, with nothing in my mind but the smell of the sweet air, the breeze on my skin and the sounds of people doing yoga all around me. The feeling was one that has yet to be matched.”
@frominsidethetoadsbelly: “My favourite memory from MYF 2017 was falling in love. I fell in love with the people, the yoga, the nature and all around beautiful vibes. I got to meet a few people who were a huge inspiration to me and still are. The bliss lives on.”
@chochini_yogini: “@acrorob …… your amazing trios with the @acrobuddhas and the start to a beautiful friendship”
@acrorob: “@chochini_yogini definitely! Learning some new tricks and meeting some incredible new friends @acrobuddhas, so grateful for my #muskokayogafest experience!
@bobimcdougall: “OMG how do you name just one?! I have a couple; taking and meeting @dfriday class (total inspo), being a total @flow.alchemy groupie (taking her offerings BOTH days), and of course spending the weekend in absolute bliss with my bestie @michaelakealey”
@deiffenbachia: “That is so hard! I love dancing with Happy Jack and both of the Acro classes I took with my partner! There is something really special about moving together like that!”

Responses from Facebook:
Lynn Gillis Kerrigan: “Fav Memory: Happy Jack Yoga!!! So inspiring! Changed how I teach yoga!”
Bonnie Elizabeth: “My favourite memory is drinking some yummy kombucha and meeting new friends.”
Lynn Hannaford Gallagher: “A beautiful day for my daughter, granddaughter and I. We were very aware that we were 3 generations connected deeply through yoga and sunshine. We cherish the experiences we shared that weekend.”
Nicole Broadbent: “Best concert seats in the house! Three generations of yogis lazing! (And having a pine cone fight)”
Elaine Rodaro: “The festival had a lot of unique vendors, all very informative and spirited, with interesting and useful products and crafts. Loved ‘Love North’ skin care line, ‘My Indie Coffee,’ ‘Live Edge Forest,’ a good Kombucha maker, a Pumpkin seed oil producer (my absolute ‘must have’ in the kitchen), and products that enhance yoga and meditation practices. This year we hope to see/participate in the event portion of the festival. Great show! They should consider doing an off-season event indoors.”
Franca DeCaria Fagan: “My favourite memory is the one defined in my imagination. Where I see myself surrounded by an ocean of optimism, love, support, comraderie, togetherness. All of us reaching goals and fun together. I still don’t know about the logistics of a weekend spent this way. But I do want to know. I do want to reach out of my mind to try for real. I want to DO THIS!!!! I’m ready! Peace and love.”
Jess Powell: “I loved the uniqueness and variety of different classes that were offered to Muskoka Yoga Festival. This photo was taken right before the Prana Party. I really enjoyed the mix of dance music and yoga poses.”
Jennifer Hui: “Favourite memory was Darren Austin Hall’s talk and sound bath! Camped for the first time by myself and survived the crazy thunderstorm in a tent!”
Susan Foxall Bingy: “Weekend of fun, growth and connection!”
Pretty great, right?!
Two of the values the Muskoka Yoga Festival is founded on are community and connection. And we think these answers prove exactly how the benefits of yoga extend far past the mat.
